This page explains how to request deletion of your Anchor Us account and associated data.

To request deletion: email support@anchorus.app with the subject line Anchor Us Account Deletion Request.

How to request account deletion

  1. Email support@anchorus.app from the email address connected to your Anchor Us account, if possible.
  2. Use the subject line Anchor Us Account Deletion Request.
  3. Include the email address used for your Anchor Us account and, if relevant, whether your account is linked with a spouse or partner.
  4. Do not include passwords, payment card numbers, private relationship notes, or other sensitive information in your email.

We may ask for additional information to verify that the request is coming from the account holder before deleting account data.

What gets deleted

When your deletion request is verified, we will delete or anonymize personal information associated with your Anchor Us account, which may include:

  • Account profile information, such as your email address, display name, user ID, and authentication profile.
  • Relationship and couple-linking records connected to your account.
  • Presence activity, daily ritual activity, progress history, reflection inputs, shared focus data, and other in-app relationship data associated with your account.
  • App preferences, reminder settings, notification preferences, and custom moment settings.
  • Support-related account information that is no longer needed to complete your request.

What may be retained

Some information may be retained when we are required or permitted to keep it for legitimate reasons, including:

  • Purchase, subscription, entitlement, refund, chargeback, tax, accounting, or payment records handled through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or related service providers.
  • Records needed for fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security, debugging, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our terms.
  • Information already stored in backups or logs, until those backups or logs are overwritten or deleted through our normal retention process.
  • Email marketing records needed to honor unsubscribe preferences or document consent, unless deletion is legally required.
  • Messages you voluntarily sent to support, if retaining them is necessary for legal, operational, or security reasons.

If retained information can reasonably be anonymized or disconnected from your account, we will take reasonable steps to do so.

Request deletion of certain data without deleting your account

You may also request deletion of certain Anchor Us data without deleting your entire account. For example, you may ask us to delete or reset certain profile information, app activity, relationship-related records, support information, or other personal data associated with your account where deletion is technically possible and legally permitted.

To make this request, email support@anchorus.app with the subject line Anchor Us Data Deletion Request and describe the data you want deleted.

Some data may not be removable without deleting the account or unlinking a shared relationship space, especially where the data is connected to both partners, required for app functionality, needed for security, or must be retained for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or compliance reasons.

We aim to respond to verified data deletion requests within 30 days.

Approximate deletion timeframe

We aim to complete verified account deletion requests within 30 days. Some retained records, backups, logs, platform billing records, or service-provider records may take longer to fully age out or may be retained where required or permitted by law.

Subscriptions and app store billing

Deleting your Anchor Us account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. If you have an active subscription, cancel it through the app store account where the purchase was made.
