Anchor Us is designed as a privacy-first presence tool for married couples. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is handled.
1. Information We Collect
Anchor Us does not require account creation and does not collect personal information such as email addresses, passwords, or full names.
For Horizon 1, the app stores the following information locally on your device:
- Intentional moments logged within the app
- Notification preferences and reminder settings
- Optional display name and app preferences
- Cohort export data generated by the app
2. Data Storage
All user data is stored locally on your device. Anchor Us does not automatically transmit this data to external servers for Horizon 1.
If you uninstall the app, locally stored data may be permanently deleted.
3. Data Export
During cohort participation, users may choose to export their data (for example, as a CSV or JSON file). Export is fully user-initiated. Anchor Us does not automatically send data to any server.
When you export data, you choose where it is shared using your device’s native sharing tools. Once exported, the handling of that file depends on the service you choose to share it with.
4. Notifications
Anchor Us uses local notifications to provide reminders. These notifications are scheduled on your device and do not require remote servers. No push notification tokens are collected or transmitted.
5. Data Sharing
Anchor Us does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties. The app does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking technologies in Horizon 1.
6. Children’s Privacy
Anchor Us is intended for adult married couples. It is not directed toward children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
Future versions of Anchor Us may introduce optional cloud-based features. If data collection practices change, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly. The most current version will always be available at anchorus.app/privacy.html.
